Internal transformation of a sixth form common room in South London. In Situ provided a bespoke flooring design, using cnc-cut plywood floor panels with acrylic inserts, to create a unique pattern and flow to the space.
We also designed and fabricated metal box frame benches, powder coated to the colour scheme of the space. Installation and fabrication was all carried out over the space of two weeks with tight budget and programme for delivery,
An interactive festival installaton - Monumental.net - representing the connecting power of the internet.
Fixed with responsive LEDs, the piece is made up of lightboxes which when viewed from the front create an overall world map image.

In Situ were approached by the Tate Modern to design a series of spaces for Tate Collective’s collaboration with TENT Rotterdam ‘Where Does Culture Happen?’ 15 young artists explored local DIY cultures and bedroom art scenes around London to then put together a week long workshop series for the public.
In Situ designed and built a series of mesh partitions to subdivide the gallery with. These were envisioned as physical representations of the internet (a key facilitator for DIY cultures). The public clipped work to these, gradually obscuring the workshop areas with information and creating an interactive DIY response to the Tate’s permanent collection.
In Situ were approached to design and build a portable exhibition display for the annual Africa In Motion show in Scotland, celebrating African cinema.
We designed and had fabricated protable metal ipad display stands, that could be easily reassembled in different exhibtion venues. Each stand had a traditional print from the specific film’s origins.
First phase of major architectural works with the youth charity Box Up Crime - leaders in the fight against knife crime in London. We have been working extensively with the charity since 2016.
This first phase was the initial redress and fitout of a park changing room block to a boxing gym in Dagenham. The design development is in process for a significant extension to the building to make a gym fit for purpose to serve at risk young people in the local area.
Young people were involved in the redecorating of the main gym space.
A projection installation at Bold Tendencies, in collaboration with the artist Alia Hamoui. The piece Melon Street was a representation of a Victorain marketplace using projection mapped screens and was exhibited as part of Peckham Festival.
As part of Village Green Festival 2017 we designed and built a pavillion for Grrrl Zine Fair.
Featuring a library, zine display stand and workshop area, the structure was built in 3 days with the help of local young volunteers.

In Situ’s first installation and party. Developing the concept of architecture relating to Hip Hop, we organised a club night as part of Punch Records’ 2015 Festival season. This self-initiated project looked to explore our concept of experiential events, where temporary installations are used alongside performing artists to create a deeper audience experience.
This event was also the launch of In Situ as a company. Over the course of the night 5 up and coming rappers and musicians performed under an installation of net tubes. These enclosed the space, creating an intimate experience between artist and audience.
One of several projects with the anti-knife crime charity Box Up Crime. For this project we took a betting shop on the high street in Ilford and converted it into a community and commercial boxing gym.
The first floor space was deisgned to work as both a gym space and classroom for young people as an alternative education provision.
As part of Photo London 2016 we delivered and installed exhibtion design for the underground Deadhouse space in Somerset House.
We also produced a projecion mapping installation for the fair’s afterparty held in the space.
In Situ planned and delivered a digital design for a group of sixth form students as part of a wider University of Arts outreach program.
The focus of the workshops was to teach the students essential digital skills and design processes, through furniture design and fabrication with CNC machines.
The work produced by the students was exhibited in the Digital Maker’s exhibition in Liverpool.
